Frequently Asked Questions

  • How many patients am I expected to see each week?

Rather than focusing solely on the number of patients each week, we prioritize comprehensive high-quality care and exceptional patient-reported outcomes. This patient-first mindset empowers our clinicians to deliver personalized care that drives better health outcomes, builds stronger patient relationships that lead to better engagement, and focuses on quality over quantity, ensuring every patient gets the care they need.

  • What does the onboarding and training process look like for new clinicians?

Regardless of your role, every new team member at Athletico participates in a formal onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition into their position. We are committed to our employees’ development and continuous improvement, which is why we’ve created a best-in-class clinician mentoring program to promote clinical excellence and inspire professional growth.

All new clinicians participate in operational mentorship, a 90-day program led by the Clinic Manager that focuses on learning Athletico’s operational best practices. Eligible clinicians can then advance to our Clinician Mentoring Program, which is designed to further develop clinical skills in a challenging, interactive, and highly educational environment. This program lasts 12 to 24 months and provides structured skill development to help clinicians refine their expertise and grow in their careers.

  • What is the typical caseload for a clinician?

A standard week at Athletico includes a caseload of approximately 10 patients per day, allowing clinicians to provide high-quality, personalized care. New grads have a slower ramp up time. Clinicians also have the opportunity to treat a variety of patient types, gaining diverse experience across different conditions and treatment approaches.

For those looking to specialize, Athletico offers clinical and specialty programs designed to help advance their expertise in specific areas of care. Through these programs, clinicians can develop specialized skills, enhance patient outcomes, and grow in their careers.

  • How does Athletico foster collaboration and teamwork among clinicians?

At Athletico, our culture is built on collaboration, recognition, and an unwavering dedication to our people and purpose. We believe our success comes from the shared vision and diverse strengths of our team, who work together every day with respect and accountability to inspire creativity while delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

We foster teamwork through mentorship, peer support, and our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), which create a diverse and inclusive workplace where employees feel empowered to contribute their unique perspectives and talents. When we support one another – and have fun along the way – we create an environment where both our employees and patients thrive.

We are committed to offering the highest quality rehabilitation provided by the best therapists, who take pride in their work, hold themselves accountable to excellence, and treat every patient with respect. Because at Athletico, we don’t just work together – we grow, celebrate, and succeed together.

  • What career advancement opportunities do you offer?

At Athletico, we foster career development and growth at all levels of the organization, helping you reach your full potential. Through purposeful orientation, ongoing mentorship, and continuing education, we provide enriching experiences that set you up for long-term success.

We believe accountability is key – we invest in your growth, but we also empower you to take charge of your own career. Our leadership training and mentorship programs ensure that future leaders are equipped to support, guide, and uplift the next generation.

And growth doesn’t have to be all work and no play – learning is more fun when we do it together. Whether it’s collaborating on new challenges, celebrating milestones, or supporting each other’s professional journeys, we grow best as a team.

  • What are your top tips for a successful interview at Athletico?

    1. Be ready to share your why. We want to hear what drives your passion for helping others, and why you’re drawn to Athletico. Purpose and culture fit matter to us.
    2. Bring real-world examples. Come prepared to talk about patient cases, clinical challenges, or teamwork experiences that show how you think, solve problems, and collaborate.
    3. Ask questions. We value curiosity. Ask about mentorship, culture, clinical tools – anything that helps you understand how you’ll grow here.
    4. Know your basics. Be familiar with your resume, licensure status, and any specialties or certifications – and feel free to highlight continued learning your pursuing.
    5. Show us who you are. Skills matter but so does being a team player. Let your personality and communication style shine.
